Note that these four categories; are not only all physically secured; but often electronically secured. SUGGESTION? NEVER give any department; programmer; IT Guru access to more than ONE OF THESE EVER in there role in your organization. DATA AND INFORMATION are exclusive of each other; and the database programmer need not have access to the aggregate data. Much can be saved economically or with intellectual property with this method. (The network folks never had access to my databases; just maintained the connection to the system; not able to TOUCH THE CODE)
