About Jeff

Dr. Michael Jeffrey LeHew, PhD

Jeff to his colleagues and friends, is the author of “Globalization of the enterprise database environment: A qualitative study of data security experiences” ©2006 TX-6-385-207; Library of Congress, and researcher in the field of Enterprise Database Mining and Architectures.  One would consider a work of such magnitude, and breadth of study, culminating in his PhD in both Organization and Management and Information Technology the “capstone” of one’s career, but for Jeff, this is just the preface, or “opening act” to a play that has yet to begin.

Jeff began his career you see at 14, on a work permit, at a now defunct Nursing home, in the laundry room alongside his mother, now 87, Genevieve, still alive. They toiled together, but Jeff, progressed from processing contaminated and filthy laundry at 5.75 (great wages even today), and yes occasional helping with the obese deceased patients at that age bagging them for transfer to the morgue; until he left for the service in 1978, and served his career in various capacities until retirement, in 1994, as part of the post Cold War draw down, with Combat Related Service Connected (parachute) injuries. Millions of men and women were retired early, and Jeff would have preferred to stay for 30 years, but that was not the hand dealt him so he followed his destiny to College. A cold war era veteran; and Gulf War Era veteran; but not of this "generation". Retired Oct 1994. US Retired and Combat Related Service Compensated; (CRSC). No other discussion of FEDERAL MILITARY RECORD is authorized; to include "administrative" use; by such agencies as the VA; which are not authorized such access; beyond DD214.

Jeff went on, while he and his family grew attending college, to attain his Bachelors of Science in Business and Management, and then his Masters of Science in Computers and Information Systems, and could have stopped there, having achieved research positions at the University of Arizona, Credit Card Development Database Architecture Positions, as well as College Chair of his own, Graduate and Undergraduate College programs.

The Lifelong learner “bug” had bitten Jeff however and to this day, he walks on the shoulders of the giants that have given him his gift of not only LIFE, EDUCATION, SPIRIT, CHILDREN, HAPPINESS and his FREEDOM. Jeff dedicates his life to ensure that others enjoy those same “liberties, regardless, of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sexual preference, political affiliation and most importantly or special to Jeff as a retired and disabled veteran. That in itself is a misnomer, as Jeff has succeeded in spite of EVERY obstacle man, the world, and beauraucrats and even family detractors from his success to build a new future.

Doc' has been married twice but will say this about the lovely ladies of his life; "THEY made him stronger and a better man for knowing them; the both of them; and he probably did not deserve 5 minutes of their time but was blessed with years of their love". Every man should be so lucky to have as many lives as Doc'...he has nine' like a CAT.
